This is a cross section of a Brumby hoof. Note the coffin bone sits high up in the hoof capsule, and the sole horn shows good thickness with excellent concavity. A healthy front hoof will have up to 1.5cm of concavity measured at the frog tip and up to 2cm in the hind hoof.
